Just what is San Diego charging for this?

I just can't sit still. The cold and snow are finally taking their toll on this boy. I'm flying to the land of golden sunshine, ripe tomatoes and palm trees. If I'm lucky, I'll even get to see the ocean again. For ten glorious days I'll prowl the beaches and docks, the cays and coves of Point Loma looking for an explanation for all the pain in the world and the solutions of solutions and when I find it, I'll write about it.
When I landed in San Diego,  I was struck by how comfortable the weather was. It is the only area in the USA besides Florida that can grow bananas year round.  Getting around was not easy. There is a bus system that is very affordable.  I made use of it to the fullest.
I studied the few maps I had and made my way to Point Loma where the military built underground reinforced bombproof shelters in case the Japanese got that close.  The old gun mounts are still intact.
The beaches are the reason to venture to this area.  The surf continues to thrash the shoreline.
This is where the military buried their dead.  Row after row of small crosses line the road out to Point Loma. The name means rich soil in Spanish.

9/11

I remember that day very clearly. I had just gotten home from night shift at the hospital. I could tell fall was just around the corner. The cool air was as refreshing as a cold shower.  I was tired from the 12 hour shift and still wound up. I could not sleep.       Something was wrong.  I could sense it.  I turned on the TV to watch the morning news. The cameras were trained on the Twin Towers. One tower was smoking like a chimney.
No one really knew what was happening. They were saying a possible malfunction of an aircraft until the second plane hit.  Then it dawned on everyone we were being fiercely attacked.
I got in touch with my landlord saying loudly, turn on the TV.  Such a human tragedy was unfolding on live TV. People were jumping to their deaths rather than being burned alive. I remember a woman with a billowy dress trying to make it into a parachute as she plummeted to her
destruction. The images remain etched into my psyche.
That night, I had to return to work. I walked by the corner gas station.  One of those all night places right next to St Mary's Hospital was doing a booming business.  The Muslims were gassing up their cars preparing to escape to Canada.
These were doctors who worked at the Mayo Clinic. They were from the Middle East fleeing the wrath that would haunt them for the rest of their lives.
Life changed for me that day.  I signed up as an informant. I brought down many drug rings that are part of the distribution network of hard narcotics.
In the 50's and early 60's most, if not all, the heroin came from the Middle East.  Many professional travelers were involved with smuggling dope from that region.             The poppy fields of Afganistan was the source of the raw material to manufacture heroin in places like Marsalis, France. This is the home of mafioso labs and families who engage in that sort of business.

Hymn for the Morning

In the cool, cool, cool of the Morning
When the birds begin to sing
A closer walk with thee O Lord
Satisfies my souls' longing

In the cool, cool, cool, breeze of the morning
When I first awake
Rise up and sing, rise up and sing
Who knows what this new day will bring?

In the cool, cool, cool, of the morning
your mind is fresh with the grace
the Lord is with you and your spirit
In His hands will you embrace

Your trust in him is precious
His Voice it is so soothing
His Hand in yours makes you purr
Your hair is in need of smoothing

Rise up rise up rise up and sing
His praises you should unfold
Like the voice so sweet and complete
In the cool, cool, cool, of the morning...

May the goodness of the Lord follow you and your Spirit.

Time? Plenty left

Still waiting for the thieves to return what they took from me. Still in Chula Vista for awhile more. Scripps finally interviewed me for a job in Encinitas. I'm looking forward to working for those folks! I have at least 5 more years to work before they put me out to pasture for good.
Dropped out of school because I was doing too good, all 5X5. That tells me I'm over-educated. I look forward and never look back. Is something wrong with that?
Each day, I wake up thinking about where I will sleep the night. Sometimes, I just never know what life is going to do to me. Not afraid one bit about my decision to be the master of my fate. I am still trying to be my own best friend.  Becoming free and live the circumspect life seems to be my only goal of having no goals. I just want to do my time here on this prison planet to be extracted by the Grand Spirit of Everything.

Chula Vista Mists

How did I get to this place in my life? I was fooling around with this donor who fooled me into using my money to import 6.2 million on her behalf with me getting 20%.                     However, after spending nearly 25 K on this project it looks as though I will never receive any money from this criminal. Her out is saying she is dying of cancer. She has no money and in debt. You find these things out after you've spent yourself blind. There is still a chance that I will eventually get money but not anytime soon.
How easy it is to fool the unsuspecting.  This is the very reason I turned informant.  The bigger they come the harder they fall one and all. It is kinda fun to rat these people into an arrestable offense.

Theme-ing on steam

Condensing all the steam produced worldwide would generate a considerable amount of pure, distilled water. OK maybe not worldwide...
Boiling ocean water in a tower via solar reflectors piped to the desert to produce steam would serve many purposes:  Steam is used to produce electricity. Steam can be tubed into cities much like in the past where every public building had a boiler for producing live steam for radiators in classrooms,  offices and government buildings.
The actual boiling point is lower so less energy is used to produce live steam using ocean water. The saltwater could be pre-heated in transit via black ABS pipe. It would reach a huge coil on the ground with black corrugated tin underneath so the tempurature gradient is maximized. This is a low cost solution for heating water in rural areas in the summer. The coils could be huge!
Condensing the steam produced is easy. The condensate is simply distilled water which has many applications. This includes a finishing process so that it can be safely ingested by humans or used in manufacturing. You'd be drawing from the vast ocean.
There would be by-product such as seasalt which has many practical uses such as melting ice on northern roadways in the winter as well as a nutrious food stuff for human consumption that is filled with trace minerals like Iodine.
There is an Iodine shortage since the US government does not require salt companies to add Iodine anymore. This translates into more thyroid problems throughout the population.  Goiters are a result of Iodine deficency. It's complicated and interesting how Iodine is a fundamental nutrient of humans and animals. Read up on the value of Iodine in foods. The technology is fundamental and would have many spinoffs none of which require capital.
I've seen a large magnifying lens heat water to a high degree in the desert. Right now, on YouTube one can see giant fresnel lenses evaporating water, cooking food and brazing metals.
Steam has many uses such as turning Pelton wheels in saw mills or giving farmers a mechanical advantage threshing grains. Reheated steam becomes super heated and can perform well under load. Steam is the basis of nuclear power plants. It is steam that turns the generators produced by the infinite energy of nuclear reactions.
Fusion is a little dfferent. Instead of splitting the atom, fusion builds the molecule from simple to complex. This releases energy as well. It has not been perfected. There has been recent breakthroughs with fusion though.  Cold fusion is the hope of many scientists to live up to the promise of eliminating fossil fuels in the future.
The strongest contender right now is utilizing solar energy. You say clouds get in the way? Why not get above the clouds in a low earth orbit to collect sunlight to be used here on earth? A zeppalin airship could be covered in solar voltaic panels to store the energy in capacitor banks to be off loaded to city grids.  These ships could easily fly south in the winter and north in the summer to follow the natural pattern of the sun as it tracks in its yearly rythmic cycle.
Secondarily, the wind that blows constantly in mountain passes could be used to our advantage.
Far out at sea the wind never stops.  It would be the most advantageous durng the winter months. Mexico has developed a huge wind farm to supply Mexico City with electricty. I've seen this farm and it is truly huge. Developed with European help, it is exemplarly to the rest of Central America. This will mitigate the pollution of fossil fuels.
You are standing over steam right now. Its fairly far away but when it is close to the surface it can be harnessed and utilized in various ways and even transported over long distances through double insulated pipes to heat cities in the winter.  So let off a little steam. It will do you good.

Wind Generators at Sea

Imagine a rather large propeller on a flexible cable being trailed at sea in the backdraft of the sail. It is constantly turning so that it generates considerable torque which then can be translated to an alternator that is mounted to the deck under a removable, weatherproof box. The electricty generated would be welcomed on any boat making a passage.
This free energy could recharge a battery bank or even electrolyze seawater to produce hydrogen that could be compressed and stored as an adjunct fuel or sold on the free market when hydrogen comes of age.
My real passion is wind generation. One could mount towers fitted with huge wind generators that create a huge amount of torque.
One could also use the forward motion of the boat to generate electric power.  The knot log has been used for centuries to judge the speed and count the miles.
Why not do the same thing with a trailing propeller that turns an alternator mounted on deck? It would be just a trickle charge but over time it could top off the batteries.
